Our Story

Meet Maura

Hi, I’m Maura Gorman, the owner, artist, and head creator at Dainty Scripts. I started Dainty Scripts in 2019 after years of crafting unique signs, paintings, murals, and custom gifts for friends and family. With my background as a licensed art teacher and a MassArt graduate, I aimed to build a one-of-a-kind business that brings joy to others. My passion for personalized art helps Dainty Scripts create special products that families will cherish for years to come.

Since having my son in June 2023, I’ve taken a step back from teaching middle school art full time to focus on being at home. You can often find me in the studio during off hours or working on-site around my husband's schedule. Dainty Scripts provides the flexibility I need as a mom.

Over the past few years, Dainty Scripts has embraced many creative opportunities. From large-scale murals to custom illustrations, and even over 300 hand-lettered canvases for hospital inspiration during the COVID-19 pandemic, our work spans a wide range of projects, big and small.

Meet the Team!

Dainty Scripts wouldn’t be possible without the help of close family and friends. 

The team includes: Catherine Healy (my cousin & mural side kick!) , Barbara Healy (yup, my mom!), Caroline Keenan, and I need to credit Ryan Gorman (my husband who does so much behind the scenes).

From prepping boards, greeting customers, deliveries, working pop-ups, sourcing supplies, and so much more.  Dainty Scripts could not be where it is today without them!
